Enjoyed a long Football League career after starting out with hometown club Derby County before a 150,000 move to Stockport County, where he made 173 appearances over four seasons. Sold to Wimbledon for 800,000 and notched 10 goals and was voted fans' player of the season during a one-year stay before joining his former Stockport boss Dave Jones at Wolves for 1 million in March 2002. Made just one sub appearance after Wolves reached the Premier League and, after loan spells with Sunderland and Norwich City, linked up with manager Jones again at Cardiff City, making 40 appearances for the club. Following loan spells with Yeovil, Walsall and Tranmere, had a brief spell at Chesterfield before joining Newport County in February 2008. Signed for Neath in January 2010.
