TWO players who developed their careers under the watchful eye of former Bangor City midfielder Simon Davies have moved to Farrar Road on the last day of the January transfer window.
Striker Paul McManus had a prolific scoring record for the youth and reserve sides, scoring a shock winner for Chester against Tottenham in the FA Youth Cup and persuading manager Bobby Williamson to hand him a professional contract in October 2007.
He made his Football League debut in a 3-1 home win over Shrewsbury Town, becoming the first player born in the 1990s to make a first-team appearance for the club.
Fellow Liverpublian and midfielder Andy Mitchell made his Football League debut as a substitute at Darlington in March last year, under new manager Davies, and went on to appear in three more league matches before the season ended.
City boss Nev Powell has also signed Zimbabwian Godwill Moraka from Pelsall Villa.
