NEXT year's Four Nations semi-professional tournament is in doubt after Scotland, whose team is drawn primarily from the Highland League, withdrew from
Ireland, who pulled out last year, ostensibly just for one season, and were replaced by Gibraltar, will also not take part in
2009 which means that two replacement sides must be found to join England and Wales if the
tournament is to survive.
England are the reigning champions after winning the trophy in Wales last May.
