Sting in the tail for Steelmen
PORT Talbot eased past Caersws but lost midfielder Liam McCreesh late-on, ruling him out of Tuesday's crucial derby clash at Neath.
The Steelmen booked their passage into the last eight with a first half goal rush, finally opening-up the Bluebirds' defence on the half hour when Luke Bowen rounded keeper Alex Ramsey to fire into an empty net.
Two minutes later, Casey Thomas dummied from a Lee John cross for ex-Caersws midfielder Lloyd Grist to add the second.
And, two minutes before the break, Talbot wrapped-up the tie when McCreesh latched on to a Grist pass and beat Ramsey in a one-on-one.
