Timmy EdwardsRHYL added the Loosemores Challenge Cup to their trophy cabinet with a convincing demolition of Carmarthen.
Andy Moran led the way, opening the scoring on 14 minutes, when his header from Limbert's free kick was saved by Pennock but he followed up to net the rebound.
Carmarthen threatened briefly either side of the break, with Nicky Burke laying on a good chance for Dale Price, sending a 20-yarder past Paul Smith's post and heading over from a cross.
But Rhyl's pressure paid off when Moran headed his second from a left wing corner.
Carmarthen replaced Pennock with Rob Thomas, but he was soon in action picking the ball out of the net from Moran's hat-trick header.
And when Chris McGinn came on instead of Moran, he got in on the act almost immediately with a shot from the edge of the area past the luckless keeper.
