BALA Town have signed prolific Witton Albion striker Steven Tames.

The 26-year-old joined Southport from Prescot Cables in the summer of 2012 after scoring 19 goals for the Valerie Park club.

He then went on loan to Vauxhall Motors in October 2013, a move which was made permanent in February 2014. Tames scored 11 goals in 25 league games during his spell with the Motormen, including three goals in his last four appearances.

The 26-year-old has notched 49 goals in 90 appearances for the Northwich outfit after previous stints with Prescot Cables, Southport, Hyde, Vauxhall Motors, Warrington and Stalybridge.

After his spell with Hyde, Tames moved to Stalybridge Celtic before landing at Witton.
