BANGOR City gained three crucial points in the race for an automatic European place as they won 2-1 at Cardiff Met to climb into second place in the Welsh Premier table.

Alex Darlington opened the Citizens' account on the half hour but home centre back Emlyn Lewis equalised with a header from a set-piece six minutes later. But victory was sealed nine minutes after the break when Dean Rittenberg scored with a deft finish from Steven Hewitt's assist.

Already confirmed as champions, The New Saints celebrated by style by demolishing Cefn Druids 5-1 at Park Hall, Greg Draper leading the way with a foursome to take his season's goal tally to 19 and virtually ensure the Golden Boot award. Tom Holland was the other scorer with Matty Owen's stoppage time goal little consolation for the visitors.
