BARRY Town United strengthened their grip at the top of the Play-Off Conference with a 2-0 away win at Aberystwyth Town to maintain their 100% record in Phase 2.

The visitors opened their account just before the break when Jordan Cotterill pounced on a loose ball to fire into the corner and Louis Gerrard sealed victory in stoppage time when he converted from a long ball.

Newtown remain six points behind Barry after ensuring safety with a 3-2 home win over Llandudno, twice coming back from a goal down. Jay Gibbs scored twice inside the first 23 minutes for the visitors with Ryan Sears and Ethan Jones responding before Nick Rushton's 69th-minute winner for the Robins.

In the relegtion battle, Carmarthen Town won by the only goal at Prestatyn through a Liam Thomas penalty against the 10-man hosts, who had Zebb Edwards red-carded just before half-time.
