WALES 'C' went down to a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of their English counterparts as they returned to action for the first time in 10 years.
A hat-trick from Dagenham and Redbridge striker Fejiri Okenabirhie proved to be the difference at Jenner Park, opening the scoring after nine minutes at Barry's Jenner Park.
John Owen missed a chance to level for Wales just past the half hour mark and the Lions nearly increased their lead on the stroke of half time when James Hardy hit the bar but Okenabirhie was unable to convert the rebound.
Seven minutes after the break a foul by Barry's Chris Hugh handed England a penalty which was converted by Okenabirhie. Substitute Mark Jones, a late replacement for Kayne McLaggan, reduced the arrears but England restored their two-goal cushion when Okenabirhie completed his threesome.
Chris Venables gave Wales hope with a 77th-minute goal but the visitors held out for the victory.
