THE New Saints scooped both of the Welsh Premier League's January awards with Scott Ruscoe named manager of the month and Aeron Edwards voted player of the month.

Victories from all three of their league games against Bala Town, Prestatyn Town and Bangor City kept TNS on course for the title, while they also lifted the Nathaniel MG Cup with a 1-0 win over Cardiff Met and progressed to the quarter finals of the Welsh Cup after beating Caernarfon Town 3-1 away.

Midfielder Edwards played a key role throughout the month and has been named in the Wales 'C' squad to face England 'C' next month.
