GOAKEEPER Dave Roberts has joined Airbus UK Broughton from Llandudno, who signed Alex Lynch from Chester earlier this week.

Roberts, 29, picked-up two FA Youth Cup winner's medals with Liverpool in 2006 and 2007 but was surprisingly released from Anfield and joined Bangor City, leaving in January 2008 without making a Welsh Premier appearance and signing non-contract terms for Blue Square Premier outfit Weymouth.

He returned to the Welsh Premier with Aberystwyth Town in August 2008 but, after losing his place to Steven Cann the following season, was loaned to Newtown in January 2010.

Recalled to Park Avenue in March after an injury to Cann, Roberts joined the Robins on a permanent basis in the summer. He moved to Prestatyn Town in June 2011 but, after a season at Bastion Gardens, rejoined Newtown a year later.

Ever-present for the Robins in 2012/13, he decided to leave and signed again for Prestatyn in June 2013. Loaned to Bangor City in February 2014 for a short spell, he signed for Cefn Druids in June the same year and, released a year later, he signed for newly-promoted Llandudno, where he has been ever-present between the sticks.

In all, Roberts has made 265 (+3) WPL appearances.
