BARRY Town United signed two more players on deadline day with Jonathan Hood returning to the Welsh Premier from Port Talbot and Spanish midfielder Joaquin Estirado Rivera arriving from Cardiff Bay.

A Boys Clubs of Wales international who became a regular first team player for Afan Lido in 2009/10, 26-year-old Hood also had spells at Hereford United and played for Bryntirion, Caerau and Ton Pentre.

He moved to Carmarthen Town in January 2012 but returned to Caerau in February 2013 before joining Penybont FC in July the same year. Hood returned to the WPL with Port Talbot in the summer of 2015 but left the club to rejoin Caerau in March 2016 before returning to the Steelmen and has scored 15 goals from his 58 (+7) top flight appearances.

Joaquin played for his hometown club Badajoz in Segunda División B and also Tercera División sides Don Benito, Santa Amalia and Atlético Pueblonuevo.

The first Spaniard to arrive at Jenner Park since Isadora Lafita and Jose Arriola in the 1960s, Joaquin is also known as Quini.

In other moves, Guilsfield midfielder Louis Irvine has signed for Prestatyn Town, while Newtown have signed 19-year-old forward Ethan Jones from Halesowen Town.
