AFTER spending the first half of this season with Airbus UK Broughton in the Huws Gray Alliance, defender Wes Baynes has been recruited by Llandudno.

The 29-year-old right back worked his way through the academy and scholarship scheme at Wrexham to the first team ranks and made 74 appearances for the Red Dragons.

After a loan spell with Altrincham, Baynes joined his hometown club Chester, moving to AFC Telford United in July 2013 and, after a loan spell at Colwyn Bay, signed for Gap Connah's Quay in September 2015.

After helping the Nomads into Europe and their highest-ever league position with three goals from 55 (+3) Welsh Premier appearances, he joined the Wingmakers in May 2017.
