BANGOR City twice hit back from a goal down to beat Aberystwyth Town 3-2 at Nantporth.

The Seasiders took an early lead when former Citizen Declan Walker scrambled the ball into the net following a corner, but City were level inside five minutes as Steven Hewitt netted from close range.

Home keeper Matthew Hall made a good save to deny Jonny Spittle just before the break, but Aberystwyth were back in front in the 50th-minute when Luke Borrelli scored at the far post.

The hosts responded with Luke Wall volleying home for his first City goal in the 73rd-minute and, six minutes later, Dean Rittenberg scored with a neat finish.

City cleared an Aberystwyth attempt off their goal line and a late header went just wide for the visitors as City held out for the spoils.
