DEFENDER Joe Culshaw has left Aberystwyth Town and signed for Huws Gray Alliance outfit Denbigh Town after losing his place in the side to youngster Matthew Jones.

The 24-year-old Carrog-born player was a youth at Wrexham before being released and signing a one-year deal with Morecambe. Despite being voted Under-18s player of the year, he was released by the Shrimpers and played for Lancaster City along with a loan spell at Cefn Druids in the Alliance in 2012/13 before joining Bangor City.

Culshaw left the Citizens in December 2014 and signed for Cefn Druids but left following the club's relegation and joined Flint Town United. After a spell with Radcliffe Borough, he was reunited with his former Bangor boss Nev Powell at Aberystwyth in August and has made a total of 28 (+14) Welsh Premier appearances.
