THE New Saints moved four points clear at the top of the Welsh Premier table ahead of Saturday's games with a 2-1 win at Aberystwyth Town, while Prestatyn shocked Bangor City 4-2 at Bastion Gardens.

Declan Walker gave the Black & Greens a 16th-minute lead at Park Avenue with a simple tap-in after good work by Ryan Wade, but the Saints were level shortly before half-time when Greg Draper intercepted a poor back-pass before slotting past Chris Mullock at the second attempt after his first effort was saved. And the winner arrived three minutes after the break when former TNS midfielder John McKenna diverted the ball into his own net for his third own goal of the season.

There was plenty of drama at Prestatyn where the home side took a 2nd-minute lead through Jack Kenny, who prodded home after a goalmouth scramble. The Citizens were soon back on level terms when Dean Rittenburg headed past Carl Jones and then took the lead when Rittenberg pulled the ball back for Steven Hewitt to score.

A Ben Maher header was cleared off the line by Tom Kennedy but Reece Fairhurst headed home the rebound for an equaliser on the half hour but the turning point came with the 73rd-minute dismissal of City's Brayden Shaw for a second yellow card. Within two minutes, Maher scored with a long-range effort and victory was assured in the final minute when Kenny scored his second goal of the night.
