A SECOND goal in two games for defender Laurence Wilson was in vain for Bangor City as their home game with Connah's Quay was abandoned due to a partial floodlight failure at Nantporth.

Wilson had given the Citizens a 27th-minute lead with a stunning 25-yarder but, with only minutes of the first half remaining, lights down one side of the pitch failed.

Despite the best efforts of the groundstaff and an intention to resume the second half with after a shortened interval, the game was abandoned after a delay of around 40 minutes.

In the night's other games, Cardiff Met fought-out a goal-less draw at home to The New Saints to go top on goal difference from tonights' opponents and Llandudno, all on the 10-points mark, while Cefn Druids were held 2-2 at home by Prestatyn Town.

The Ancients took an early lead through Ashley Ruane, but goals from Noah Edwards and Ben Maher put the Seasiders ahead at half-time. Nathan Peate then scored the equaliser for the hosts in the 82nd-minute.
