THIRD on the Welsh Premier League's all-time goal scorers list, Lee Hunt has signed a new deal with Bala Town.
The 36-year-old, who talked to several clubs over the summer, has a goal tally of 209 from 344 (+24) appearances, a total bettered only by Marc Lloyd Williams and Rhys Griffiths.
Hunt joined Bangor City from Helsby during the summer of 2002, switching to Rhyl in December 2003, where he attracted the interest of Football League clubs.
Named in the Welsh Premier dream teams of 2005 and 2007, he transferred to Barrow AFC in May 2008 but, on his release by the Cumbrians at the end of the following season, made a surprise return to Belle Vue.
Hunt left Rhyl on transfer deadline day in February 2010 to rejoin Bangor but, after scoring one of City's goals in the Welsh Cup final win over Port Talbot and again being named in the league's team of the season, moved to Prestatyn Town a few weeks later. He spent a season at Bastion Gardens, but signed for Bala Town on a two-year deal in June 2011.
Leading scorer over two seasons for the Lakesiders, Hunt was back at Prestatyn in June 2013 but was loaned back to Bala in November 2014, a move which became permanent, and he went on to be named in the WPL dream teams in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
