NEV Powell has made two new signings ahead of the new Welsh Premier season and also promoted 17-year-old Harri Horwood from the development side to the first team squad.

Arrriving at Park Avenue are defender John McKenna and wingman Christian Langos. McKenna, 27, is a product of The New Saints' scholarship scheme who had trials with Ipswich and Preston North End before becoming a valuable member of the first-team squad at Park Hall. Part of the title winning squad, he also spent time on-loan at Newtown but was released by TNS in May 2011.

McKenna then played for Colwyn Bay and Warrington Town before returning to the WPL with Rhyl in June 2014 and had made a total of 57 (+24) Welsh Premier apperances, scoring seven goals, before moving to Australia in December 2014.

Langos, 23, is a Congolese-born player and product of the Liverpool FC foundation who played for Marine before joining Bangor City in August 2015 when Powell was manager at Nantporth. After a season and a half with the Citizens, he signed for Rhyl in January 2017 and has made 17 (+30) WPL appearances.
