WALES Under-19 international goalkeeper Scott Coughlan has joined Aberystwyth Town.

The 18-year-old Swansea-born stopper, who also represented Wales at Under-17 level, had a trial at Hull City earlier this year and is highly-rated by the Bluebirds.

"Scott is a well-rounded, confident young goalkeeper with sound handling skills and good decision making skills under pressure," says the club website.

"His distribution is considered to be of out-field quality and Scott communicates positively with the team."

The Seasiders have also signed James Etherington on-loan from Wrexham's Glyndwr University academy. The defender spent time with Grimsby Town as a youth but suffered a serious injury before moving on to Ramsgate, Faversham Town and then Wrexham, where he was loaned to Mold Alexandra for part of last season.
