CONNAH'S Quay boss Andy Morrison has made his first signings of the close season as the club prepares for a second tilt at the Europa League.

Right back Luke Denson, 26, a former Tranmere Rovers apprentice, joins The Nomads from Colwyn Bay. After leaving the Seagulls in 2011 he joined Chester, where he played alongside current Nomads' squad members John Danby, George Horan and Mike Wilde. Denson then spent three seasons at AFC Fylde before rejoining Colwyn, where he has scored 14 goals from 222 appearances.

Andreas Bianga, 20, hails from Lille in northern France and joined the Burnley academy in 2014. An attacking midfielder, he has since played for Hyde United and Droylsden in the Northern Premier League.

The third new arrival is Irish-born left back Tommy Cooney, who joins from Margate FC after a short spell with Cefn Druids, where he made just three substitute appearances in the Welsh Premier last season after signing from from Evo Stik South club Stamford AFC in August. He has previous experience at Athlone Town, Longford, Boston United, Nantwich Town, Scarborough Athletic, Corby and Brighouse Town and also spent time with the Elite Development squad at Brentford.

Additionally, Nomads Academy players, Luke Blizzard, Connor Harwood and Joe Sullivan have all been promoted to the 2017/18 first team squad.
