BANGOR City qualified for the Europa League after an absence of three years, ending Cardiff Met's European hopes in their first season since promotion to the Welsh Premier.

But it was a close affair at Nantporth with the only goal of the came coming just past the half hour mark when home player-manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher squared a oass for Dean Rittenberg to drill home from 12 yards.

Henry Jones and Taylor-Fletcher had earlier drawn good saves from Met keeper Will Fuller, with the visitors only threatening briefly from set-pieces.

City keeper Connor Roberts made a diving save after the break to deny Will Evans and Adam Roscrow had the ball in the net for Cardiff, but his effort was correctly disallowed for handball.

A poor clearance from Fuller presented a chance to substitute Sion Edwards, but the stopper recovered well to save and, despite some late pressure, the visitors were unable to cap what has been a superb first top-flight season with an equaliser.
