A DRAMATIC stoppage-time winner from Charlie Corsby sent Cardiff Met into the Europa League play-off final with a 2-1 away win at Carmarthen Town.

With the game seconds from heading into extra-time, Corsby stooped to head home from Josh Barnett's inswinging free kick.

The students were forced to battle back from a goal down, the Old Gold taking the lead just after half-time when a long throw-in was only half-cleared and, when the ball was played back into the box, Liam Griffiths swept home from 12 yards.

In the first half, Will Fuller pulled off an excellent early save from a close range Griffiths header, while home keeper Lee Idzi made a fingertip save to deny Eliot Evans.

Met almost scored just before the break but Charlie Corsby's inside pass was blocked after a defensive error by the hosts.

The lead lasted until the hour mark when Dwaine Bailey's wayward back header was intercepted by Adam Roscrow who beat Idzi to the ball before firing into an empty net.

An increasingly scrappy second half looked unlikely to yield another goal until Corsby's late winner sealed Met a trip to Bangor City next weekend.
