CARMARTHEN Town clinched a home tie against Cardiff Met in the Europa League play-offs thanks to a Liam Thomas brace in a 2-0 away win at Bangor City's Nantporth.

On the final day of regular season action, Gap Connah's secured their highest-ever finish of second and a place in next season's Irn-Bru Cup with a goal-less away draw against the students in Cardiff.

Elsewhere it rained goals as Scott Quigley claimed a hat-trick in a 6-4 TNS away win at Bala Town in a dress rehearsal for next weekend's Welsh Cup final, while Newtown also hit six, including a hat-trick from Nicky Rushton, against Aberystwyth Town who grabbed a late consolation from youngster Sion Ewart.
