IN-FORM goal scorer Jason Oswell has scooped the Welsh Premier League's player of the month award for March.

Oswell took his season's goal tally to 18 on Saturday in Newtown's 2-0 away win at Rhyl, leading the race for the Golden Boot. Earlier in the month, he scored once against Airbus UK Broughton, a hat-trick against Aberystwyth Town and an injury-time equaliser in the televised 2-2 home draw against Llandudno, making six goals during March.

Manager of the month is Andy Morrison, whose Gap Connah's Quay side won three and drew two of their games this month as they challenge for an automatic Europe League place.

The Nomads drew 1-1 at Bala, before winning against Cardiff Met, Carmarthen and The New Saints, ending the period with a home draw against Bangor City.

It is the first time Morrison has lifted the accolade during his time in the Welsh Premier League.
