HAVERFORDWEST County returned to the top of Welsh League Division One as five players saw red in a feisty affair at Afan Lido.

Lido were down to 10-men as early as the third-minute when Alex Gammond was sent-off before Sean Pemberton headed the Bluebirds into the lead from a Kieran Howard corner.

Dale Griffiths converted a penalty after ex-Lido striker Luke Borelli was brought down in the box and Callan Bowden was sent-off for disputing the decision.

Borelli was red-carded before the break and two more players got their marching orders in the second half, Lido's Arwel Rees and County's Chris O'Sullivan minutes after the hosts had managed to pull a goal back through Elliot Thomas.

Also on Friday night, Penybont cemented third place with a 1-0 win at Taffs Well while Saturday's action saw fourth-placed Goytre United go down 4-1 at Monmouth Town.

Dan McDonald, Nick Harry with a brace and Dan Evans got the Kingfishers' goals.

Aberdare hit six past AFC Porth, Chris Bullock scoring from the penalty spot for the visitors, while Garden Village won 1-0 at Pontardawe Town.
