CARDIFF Met prevailed in the battle of the two title favourites with a 2-0 win at Haverfordwest County to reclaim top spot in Welsh League Division One.

Despite dominating much of the first half, the Bluebirds fell behind when Adam Roscrow headed home a left wing cross at the far post.

More chances went begging for County after the break and they were left to rue their failure to score when John Littlemore, who had seen a dangerous shot tipped on to the post by home keeper Craig Morris moments earlier, secured the win in the 85th-minute.

There was a Valentine's Day massacre at AFC Porth as Goytre United won 8-1. Jack McKenna grabbed a hat-trick with Darren Griffiths claiming a brace alongside goals from Tim Hicks, Richard Ryan and Jordan Davies.

In the day's only other league game, Briton Ferry Llansawel were held to a 1-1 home draw by Goytre.
