HOLDERS Bala Town have been drawn away to Aberystwyth in the third round of the Welsh Cup while last season's beaten finalists, The New Saints, will be at home to Penrhyncoch of the Huws Gray Alliance.

The draw has generally been unkind to south Wales clubs with Goytre travelling to Airbus UK Broughton, Cwmmaman United away to Bangor City, Cwmbran Celtic at Connah's Quay Nomads and, in an intriguing tie, Barry Town United away at Alliance leaders Caernarfon Town.

Minnows Penydarren also face a long trip up north to Alliance strugglers Llandudno Junction while Panteg are away to Porthmadog.

    The draw in full is:

  • Aberystwyth Town v Bala Town
  • Airbus UK Broughton v Goytre FC
  • Ammanford v Carmarthen Town
  • Bangor City v Cwmmaman United
  • Buckley Town v Flint Town United
  • Caernarfon Town v Barry Town United
  • Connah's Quay Nomads v Cwmbran Celtic
  • Llandudno FC v Gresford Athletic

  • Penybont v Cardiff Met
  • Pontypridd Town v Haverfordwest County
