THERE will be a repeat of one of last season's Welsh Cup semi-finals after Gap Connah's Quay won a penalty shoot-out at Prestatyn Town to set-up another clash with holders The New Saints.

But the Nomads had to mount a fightback after the Seasiders opened-up a two-goal lead by half time. Inside four minutes, Alec Williams returned the ball with interest into the far corner after the visitors had cleared a long throw and Ben Maher added the second, firing home a crossbar rebound following a free-kick.

Kai Edwards reduced the arrears straight after the break but the visitors had to wait until the 83rd-minute for an equaliser from Wes Baynes. After a scoreless extra 30 minutes, Prestatyn twice held the advantage in the shoot out after keeper Jones saved a Baynes spot kick and Matty Williams hit the bar. But Noah Edwards saw his effort for Town hit both posts and, after Ben Maher's effort was saved by John Danby, Jack Lewis dragged his penalty wide to leave Mike Wilde to fire home the winner.

Semi-final draw:
Caernarfon Town v Bala Town
Gap Connah's Quay v The New Saints
