GIANT killers Denbigh Town have been handed a home draw against Gap Connah's Quay in the semi-finals of the Word Cup.

In the other tie, holders The New Saints will host Carmarthen Town.

Denbigh boss Gareth Thomas was delighted with the performance of his players in knocking out Airbus UK Broughton, having defeat another Welsh Premier side, Rhyl, away from home in the first round.

"The players were outstanding and fully deserved the win," he said. "We made several changes due to suspensions but the players were magnificent.

"We had a game plan from studying Airbus the last few weeks and the players can take all the credit for taking everything on board.

"We knew we had to stay in the game and in the second half Elliot (Power) was outstanding keeping us in the tie whilst we always looked a threat going forward.

"The subs were massive for us as they brought some legs to the game and helped us stretch the play. I'm delighted as it was important we bounced back after a shocking performance last Saturday and the lads have done that."
