WILDCARD entrants Denbigh Town created another shock to reach the final of the Word Cup.

Having already disposed to Welsh Premier sides Rhyl and Airbus UK Broughton, Huws Gray Alliance high-flyers Town overcame Gap Connah's Quay 1-0 at Central Park to set-up a final meeting with The New Saints.

The Nomads had a chance to take the lead in the second half when ex-Nomad Jack Rowlands fouled Les Davies, but home keeper Elliott Power saved Ashley Ruane's penalty.

Within a minute, Mark Roberts could have scored for the hosts but missed in a one-on-one with keeper John Danby.

But Denbigh put the miss behind them as Sam Jones netted in the 83rd-minute to the delight of most in a crowd of 550 and Quay were unable to respond in the time remaining.
