TWO Welsh Premier clubs, Cefn Druids and Llandudno, were dumped out of the Nathaniel MG Cup by Huws Gray Alliance opposition at the first round stage.

Aaron Bowen scored the winner six minutes from the end of normal time against one of his former clubs as Airbus UK Broughton beat the Ancients 3-2 at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

Elsewhere, Newtown won the all-Premier League clash against Bala Town at Maes Tegid with a penalty from Jamie Reed after the striker had been brought down in the box by Stuart Jones.

Bangor City made no mistake at home to Denbigh Town, although they trailed 2-1 at half time. Josh Davies put the visitors ahead before Anthony Miley equalised but then put through his own goal. Dean Rittenburg got the Citizens back on level terms after 72 minutes and then added another three before the end of normal time.

Aberystwyth Town won 2-0 away at mid-Wales rivals Caersws with goals from Ashley Young and Jack Rimmer, while former Seasider Luke Sherbon missed the chance to pull a goal back from the penalty spot against the club he left at the end of last season.

Cardiff Met won 2-1 away at Goytre with two own goals from their Gwent opponents, whose goal was scored by Gary Colborne.
