STRIKER Ashley Ruane has departed Cefn Druids to join Colwyn Bay.

The 33-year-old first appeared in the Welsh Premier with Caernarfon Town after signing from Merseyside Police in January 2009. Ruane moved on to play for Prescot Cables and Warrington Town, where he was a member of the 2014 squad that beat Exeter City in the FA Cup, before signing for Rhyl in January 2015.

He moved to Connah's Quay six months later and, after being oaned to the Druids in August 2016, he made a permanent move in January 2017 and has scored 31 goals from 77 (+27) WPL appearances.

Manager Alan Morgan, said: “We needed someone like Ashley to play on the shoulder and hopefully we can create chances for him because he will always score goals.”
