STRIKER Mark Jones has left Carmarthen Town to rejoin newly-promoted Llanelli Town.

A product of the Afan Lido youth system who spent time with the Cardiff City academy before returning to St Margaret's Way, Jones top scored in the club's Welsh League campaign before first joining Llanelli in September 2007.

Jones returned to Lido on loan a year later, rejoining the Reds in January 2009, but was released in the summer, moving to Port Talbot Town. After another return to Lido in October 2009 he signed for Aberystwyth Town in December 2012 and spent three and a half seasons with the Black & Greens before joining Carmarthen in June 2015.

Loaned back to Aberystwyth in February 2017, Jones rejoined Lido four months later but returned to Carmarthen in the January 2018 transfer window and has scored 82 goals from 197 (+4) Welsh Premier appearances,

The Reds have also re-signed goalkeeper Scott Coughlan, who spent half of last season in Sweden with GIF Sundsval, while captain Joe Clarke spearheads the list of players staying at Stebonheath Park, which includesLiam Samuel, Lee Bevan, Kurtis March, Anthony Finselbach, Jordan Davies, Ross Jones and James Loveridge.
