MANAGER Kevin Nicholson and his assistant Gary Taylor-Fletcher are both set to leave Bangor City after the club's failure to secure the FAW's domestic licence for next season.

Nicholson joined the Citizens a year ago and has guided the club to runners-up spot in the Welsh Premier in his first senior management role after working at Stoke City, Derby County, Exeter City and Cardiff.

Taylor-Fletcher signed for City in January 2017 and went on to make 32 appearances, scoring nine goals. He was previously with Northwich Victoria, Hull City, Leyton Orient, Grays Athletic, Dagenham & Redbridge, Lincoln City, Huddersfield Town, Blackpool, Leicester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley.

"I would like to thank both Kev and Gary for all there hard work since being at the club," says director of football Stephen Vaughan Jr. "We achieved the goals we set out and they leave the club knowing we were last season the second best team in the WPL.

"Together we had built an excellent squad and have made great progress over a short period of time. With the news at the end of the season that we would not be granted a tier 1 WPL licence for 2018-2019 it was agreed mutually that we would part our ways."

A press conference has been set for 14:00 on Thursday afternoon where Bangor City will announce the new management team for the upcoming season.
