A STOPPAGE time winner from Mike Hayes finally broke the deadlock at Maes Tegid as Bala Town beat Cefn Druids 1-0 to move into the Welsh Premier League's second spot.

With 92 minutes on the clock, Chris Venables picked out Hayes who drove into the box before firing low into the far corner.

Druids survived a large spell of pressure from the Lakesiders in the first half and keeper Michael Jones produced a double save to deny Les Davies after the interval before also keeping out efforts from Nathan Burke and Hayes.
