CONNAH'S Quay regained second spot in the Welsh Premier with a 3-0 home win over Barry Town United, while Cefn Druids took a huge step towards securing a top-six place with a 1-0 away win at Carmarthen.

The Nomads took a 40th-minute lead with a Callum Morris header and doubled their advantage after the break when Michael Wilde headed home from a Michael Bakare corner. And the win was sealed with a Declan Poole goal nine minutes from time.

The Druids won at Richmond Park courtesy of a James Davies goal, but Llandudno could still squeeze into the top six although their hopes were dented by a 1-1 home draw with Bala Town. Marc Williams had headed the Seasiders in front, but debutant John Disney got the equaliser for the visitors. Next weekend's clash between Druids and Llandudno is now crucial for both sides' hopes.

In the late kick-off, Cardiff Met were held to a 1-1 home draw by Aberystwyth Town. Eliot Evans put the students in front with a free kick, but Ashley Young levelled from another set piece.
