STRIKER Steve Lewis has returned to Rhyl, two and a half years after being released by the Lilywhites.

Lewis, 29, signed for Bala Town from Liverpool League outfit Essemay FC in January 2011 after being spotted playing against the Lakesiders in a pre-season friendly for Cammell Laird.

After a brief spell at Maes Tegid also had experience with Marine before joining Rhyl, where he scored five goals from 15 (+6) Welsh Premier League appearances. After his releas from Belle Vue at the end of season 2013/14, he signed for Cefn Druids but parted company with the Ancients before the season started.

Lewis then played in local football before joining Caernarfon Town in January 2015. He returned to the WPL with Llandudno in June 2015 but moved on to Holywell Town, signing for Bangor City in January 2016 and scoring a notable hat-trick in a 4-3 win against his former club Rhyl.

He then joined Droylsden six months later and is currently the fourth-highest scorer in the Evo-Stik Premier with 12 league goals. Lewis will be available to play for Rhyl once the transfer window opens in January
