BANGOR City have released defender River Humphreys who is signing for North West Counties outfit Widnes.

A former A former Wrexham youth, the 26-year-old joined Cefn Druids from Runcorn Linnets this summer, making just one Welsh Premier appearance before being signed by the Citizens, where he made another four WPL starts.

Selected by Stuart Pearce, Dean Windass and Geoff Horsfield as the winner of the first Fiat Professional Tradesman Trials with the prize of a month on trial with Rochdale in June, Humphreys was also previously a runner-up on Wayne Rooney's Street Striker TV competition.
