AFTER beating league leaders Prestatyn 5-0, Airbus UK Broughton will be involved in a true top of the table clash when they host newly-installed leaders The New Saints at The Airfield this Friday.

But director of football Andy Preece laughed-off title talk when interviewed after the game and insisted that the top six is the main target.

"We're enjoying it as it is, we've put ourselves up among the top teams, we've got TNS here on Friday which could bring us straight back down to earth so we're not getting carried away," he said.

"Our aim has always been to try and finish in the top six and you see results tonight, Llanelli won again, Bala won again, you know that those are going to come.

"I think there's only one place up for grabs and we're just determined that we can get that sixth place."

But Preece was also delighted with the performance against the Seasiders.

"I was really pleased with the way we went about the game today, we started from the first minute right until the last really," he went on.

"We were on top of the game, we knew how important it was against a side like Prestatyn who've done so well this season with some fantastic results and we showed them the utmost respect.

"They're a team who are going to be challenging up at the top of the league for the top places."
