FIVE of the scheduled Welsh Premier games on Boxing Day have been given the green light following a thaw, but two are postponed.
But The Airfield was only declared fit by referee Andy Harms following a one o'clock inspection ahead of the visit from Elements Cefn Druids to Airbus UK Broughton.
Richmond Park was frozen on Christmas Day, but an overnight rise in temperatures saw the ground pass a nine o'clock inspection for the west Wales derby between Carmarthen Town and Llanelli.
Another morning inspection on Deeside saw the game between Gap Connah's Quay and Bala Town given the thumbs-up, while Prestatyn's optimism that the local derby against Rhyl would go ahead was confirmed this morning.
But the mid-Wales derby fell victim to the weather when Caersws called-off their clash with near neighbours Newtown on Boxing Day morning, adding to the Christmas Eve postponement of Welshpool v The New Saints at Maesydre.
