TECHNOGROUP Welshpool are hoping to re-sign goalkeeper Danny Jones to replace Jack Cudworth, who has moved to Rhyl.
And the mid-Wales Lilywhites are seeking special dispensation from the FA of Wales to play Jones in the scheduled Welsh Premier fixture against The New Saints at Park Hall on New Year's Day.
The 26-year-old Jones (pictured) first appeared in the domestic league for Newtown 10 years ago before signing for Welshpool in 2005/6.
He spent time at Shawbury United before returning to Maesydre again in 2008/9 and has made a total of 49 league appearances.
Pool will also complete the signing of striker Marc Griffiths from Bala Town today.
