Represented Wales at schoolboy level and signed for Bolton as a trainee. Had a year as a professional and spent time on-loan at AFC Bournemouth joining Scottish Premier outfit Aberdeen in May 2003. Made a couple of first-team appearances before switching to Irish side Glenavon midway through 2003/04. Returned home to play for Northwich Victoria, switching to rivals Witton Albion in summer 2004.
