|Llanelli overcome 10-man Saints
GOALS from Rhys Griffiths and Owain Warlow saw Llanelli put their early-season woes behind them as they overcame 10-man The New Saints.
The visitors were reduced in numbers for the second time in two games, when Tommy Holmes got his marching orders after retaliating to a heavy late challenge from Chris Venables on 37 minutes.
They had already fallen behind minutes earlier when Griffiths hammered an 18-yarder past keeper Paul Harrison from a long clearance upfield.
And, within two minutes of the dismissal, they extended their lead, Warlow beating Harrison at the far post.
TNS hit back immediately when Alex Darlington brought down a Barry Hogan cross to fire past Craig Richards, who had been lucky to escape a red card for a chest-high challenge on Matty Williams earlier in the proceedings.
The 10 men dominated after the break with Matthew Berkeley going closest to an equaliser, but Richards regained the ball at the second attempt, and the Reds held out to claim the spoils.
