Haverfordwest keep promotion hopes alive

Cambrian & Clydach v HaverfordwestHAVERFORDWEST County kept their slim promotion hopes alive with a 2-0 win at Welsh League pacesetters Cambrian & Clydach on Tuesday night.
The Rhondda outfit still head the table by three points and have a game in hand on second-placed Taffs Well, but Welsh Premier interest - especially in relegation-haunted Aberystwyth and Carmarthen - centres on whether County can still claim a top two finish.
The Bluebirds, who have the necessary FAW domestic licence to claim a place in the top flight, are now fourth with 46 points from 28 games.
Also wWith two games left to play, third-placed Bryntirion Athletic have two points more, whil Taffs Well are also two points ahead and have a game in hand.
Taffs were 3-0 winners at Cwmbran Celtic on Tuesday night, while Ton Pentre defeated Goytre United 3-2.
In the only game played on Wednesday evening, AFC Porth beat Cardiff Corries 5-2.
