PRESTATYN Town have agreed a new sponsorship deal which they say will secure the club's future for the next three seasons.
Walsh Investment Properties (WIP), a company owned by the club's president Mike Walsh, will inject "a significant five figure cash sum" into the club for the next three years. WIP have also agreed to provide a 30 x 8 sectional building worth approximately £5,000 that will be turned into a matchday hospitality suite. "This is absolutely fantastic news for the club and we are indebted to Mike Walsh and WIP for their valuable and much appreciated support," chairman Thackeray told Seasiders Online. "It will enable us to push forward in our aims to achieve Super 12 status and takes us those few steps further down the line to establish Prestatyn Town among the leading clubs in Welsh football. "We are all aware that these are difficult economic times and for WIP to commit to this level of support for the next three seasons is a magnificent gesture. On behalf of everyone connected with Prestatyn Town, be they players, officials or supporters we say a huge thank you." Mike Walsh - administrative management partner of WIP - added: "We are pleased to be the new sponsors of Prestatyn Town Football Club and very proud to offer our continued support to the team, management and all the hard-working volunteers at the club in their forthcoming centenary year." As part of the deal WIP's Sean Walsh will become the club's vice-president. Meanwhile work continues on the developments needed to bring Bastion Gardens up to Super 12 status with blockwork for new medical rooms now nearing completion. Interior work on the dressing rooms is now heading towards the finishing line and groundwork for the new TV gantry and police control room will start within the next fortnight, says the club. ![]() |
