AN Alec Mudimu goal sentenced Bangor City to a third consecutive Welsh Premier League defeat as they lost 1-0 at home to Cefn Druids.

The goal came early in the game when goalkeeper Matthew Hall, making his seasonal debut, dropped a cross in a collision with a Druids' player and Mudimu was on hand to score. The Ancients nearly doubled their lead after the break when Lewis Buckley hit an upright after some poor City defending.

Steven Hewitt came close to an equaliser for the Citizens on the hour mark when his free kick was pushed onto the crossbar by Druids' keeper Michael Jones and, in stoppage time, Lawrence Wilson fired a volley just wide of the target as the visitors held on to take all three points and move above City into fourth place in the table.
