WITH previous leaders The New Saints in Irn-Bru Cup action, Bangor City moved back to the top of the Welsh Premier table with a 1-0 win at Bala Town.

The only goal of the game arrived on 74 minutes when debutant James Demetriou scored with a long range effort after coming-on as a half-time substitute.

Cefn Druids remain in the top half of the table after a goal-less home draw against Newtown, while Prestatyn Town staged an impressive comeback to defeat Carmarthen Town with a stoppage time winner from Jack Kenny. Earlier, the Old Gold led twice through Liam Thomas and Liam Griffiths, with the Seasiders getting back on level terms through Jack Lewis and a Jack Higgins penalty.

Aberystwyth remain rooted in the relegation zone after being held to a goal-less home draw by Barry Town United.
