EIGHT-time Welsh Premier League medal winner Phil Baker has signed for Warrington Town in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

The 34-year-old ended a 12-year stint with The New Saints at the end of last season after making 346 (+24) WPL appearances and scoring 12 goals in a domestic career which also included Bangor City and Aberystwyth Town.

The former Tranmere Rovers player joined Bangor City in season 2002/3, before a move to Conference outfit Exeter City. Baker then signed for Aberystwyth and also played for Droylsden before rejoining the Citizens, where he made 28 appearances in 2004/5 before signing for TNS.

Named in the Welsh Premier dream team for 2006/7 and again in 2014/15 and also the league's clubman of the year in 2016, he was loaned to Aberystwyth Town in March 2017 before leaving TNS.

Baker also appeared 31 times in Europe, a total bettered only by his former team mate Paul Harrison.
