DEFENDER Sam Rodon has returned to Haverfordwest County after spending last season with Aberystwyth Town.

The Bluebirds say they have 'have beaten off competition from a host of WPL and Welsh League clubs' for the services of the 24-year-old product of the Swansea City Academy, who followed his former County manager Wayne Jones to Park Avenue a year ago and made 27 (+1) Welsh Premier appearances for the Black & Greens last season.

Capped by the Welsh Schoolboys Under 18s, Rodon also captained the Welsh Colleges Under 19s and first joined the Bluebirds from West End in August 2013, quickly becaming a firm favourite at the club, winning players', manager's and supporters' player of the year awards and making 30 WPL appearances in season 2015/16, scoring three goals.
